## Instagram event registration from one comment

CreatorFlow is an Instagram DM automation tool built on Meta's official Graph API. When someone comments your keyword on an event post, it sends them your event page by DM, from your own account.

1. Your post
   ### You ask people to comment REGISTER
The caption tells people to comment REGISTER for a seat at Saturday's workshop.
2. The comment
   ### Nina comments REGISTER
Nina types REGISTER under the workshop post. That is your keyword, so CreatorFlow sends her the event page.
3. The DM
   ### The event page arrives by DM
Nina gets your message and a Book button for Saturday. The DM comes from lola.paints, where she saw the workshop.
4. The seat
   ### Nina saves her seat
One tap opens your event page, and she registers there. CreatorFlow saves Nina in your contacts.

## Instagram event registration ideas to copy

Any event works: a webinar, a class or a show. Give each event post its own keyword.

- Keyword: LIVE
Guests register while they watch your Reel. They comment LIVE and get the link to your free class.
- Keyword: TICKET
Fans reach your ticket page in one tap. They comment TICKET and get the link by DM.
- Keyword: REPLAY
People who missed your talk can still watch it. They comment REPLAY and get the recording.

## Instagram event registration features

Add buttons, pick your posts, ask for an email first and keep every contact. See what each plan includes on the [pricing page](https://creatorflow.so/pricing).

### Up to 3 link buttons in one DM

Each DM holds a message, one image and up to 3 link buttons. You see how many people tap each one.

### One post, your next post or every post

Choose your next post before you announce the event. The automation starts when you publish it.

### Email Gate

Ask for an email before you send the link. Every email is saved in your contacts.

### Public Reply

Reply under the comment too, so others see that you answered. Write up to 5 replies and CreatorFlow picks one at random.

### Contacts and CSV export

Everyone who gets your link is saved, with their email if they gave it. Download the list as a CSV file.

## Instagram event registration limits to know first

CreatorFlow sends the link to your event page, where people register. Check these before you announce your next event.

- ### Keywords, not every comment
A comment without your keyword gets no DM, unless you choose Any word.
- ### Whole words only
REGISTER matches "register me". It does not match "registered".
- ### No tickets or guest list
CreatorFlow sends the link to your event page. It does not sell tickets or keep a guest list.
- ### One DM per person
Each person gets this automation once, with one optional step first. It does not send reminders before the event.
- ### Your own comments
CreatorFlow ignores comments from your account. Test from a second account.
- ### Business or Creator account
Personal accounts cannot connect. You can switch for free in Instagram settings.
- ### Message requests
People who do not follow you find the DM in their message requests.
- ### Instagram hourly limit
Instagram limits DMs per hour. CreatorFlow sends the rest later, and some may not arrive.

## Questions about Instagram event registration

Short answers about seats, plans and account safety.

**How does Instagram event registration work with CreatorFlow?**

You pick a keyword, such as REGISTER, and ask people to comment it in your event post. CreatorFlow watches that post through Instagram's official Graph API. When someone comments the word, CreatorFlow sends them a DM with your event page, seconds after they comment. People register on your own page. On Pro and Growth, Email Gate can ask for their email before the link is sent.

**Do I need an Instagram Business or Creator account?**

Yes. Instagram's messaging API only works with Business and Creator accounts, so a Personal account cannot send automated replies. Switching is free and takes about 30 seconds. Open Instagram settings, go to Account type and tools, and choose Business or Creator. Your posts, your followers and your username stay exactly as they are, and you can switch back later.

**Is there a free way to run event signups on Instagram?**

Yes. The Free plan includes 500 DMs per month and unlimited automations. Comment-to-DM, story replies and keyword DM replies all run on it. Email Gate, the public comment reply and CSV export are on the Pro and Growth plans. Paid plans also raise the monthly DM volume per workspace.

**What happens if my event post gets hundreds of comments at once?**

CreatorFlow answers each keyword comment in order. Instagram limits how many DMs an account can send per hour, so on a busy post CreatorFlow sends the rest later, and some may not arrive. Each DM counts once against your monthly DM amount, so check your plan before you announce a big event.

**How fast does the signup DM arrive after someone comments?**

CreatorFlow sends the DM seconds after the comment appears. Instagram sends CreatorFlow a webhook the moment someone comments, and the reply is sent straight away. Exact timing depends on Instagram's API, so CreatorFlow does not promise a fixed number of seconds. In practice the person is usually still looking at the post when the message reaches them.

**Is it safe to automate event signup DMs on Instagram?**

Yes. Every message goes through Instagram's official Graph API, and CreatorFlow has been a Meta-approved Tech Provider since December 2025. You connect through Meta's own login screen, so you never share your Instagram password. There is no browser extension and no unofficial workaround. Sending is paced to stay inside the rate limits Instagram sets for the API.
