Comment to DM, from your rescue dog Reel to your donate page

Jules follows your rescue. Jules sees Bruno on his dog bed and wants to help.

You show Bruno on his bed at a volunteer's home. In the caption, you ask people to comment BRUNO.

  2. The comment

Jules comments BRUNO and a kind word

BRUNO is your keyword. A comment like "BRUNO cutie" still gets your DM.

  3. The DM

Your thank you and donate page arrive by DM

Jules gets your thank you and a button to the donate page. The DM comes from your rescue's own account.

  4. Your donate page

Jules reads what each gift pays for

Your donate page shows the food, the vet visits and the beds a gift pays for. Jules chooses an amount there, in the donate tool you already use.

What CreatorFlow can and cannot do for nonprofits

Check these before your first automation.

What you can set

  • Give each campaign its own keyword and page. Automations are unlimited on every plan.
  • Send your donate page and your volunteer form as two buttons in one DM.
  • Answer a keyword someone sends you in a DM, such as REPORT.
  • Ask for an email before you send the volunteer form, with Email Gate.
  • Export your contacts as a CSV file for your own email tool.

What to know first

  • CreatorFlow cannot take a donation. People give on your own donate page.
  • CreatorFlow cannot see who gave or how much. Your donate tool shows the gifts.
  • People who do not follow you find the DM in Message Requests.
  • Instagram limits DMs per hour. CreatorFlow sends the rest later, and some may not arrive.
  • Each automation sends one DM, with one optional step before it. There are no follow-up messages.
  • CreatorFlow works with Instagram only. It cannot send a DM when someone follows you.

Your account

  • CreatorFlow is a Meta-approved Tech Provider.
  • It uses the official Instagram API. There is no browser extension.
  • You connect Instagram on Instagram's own screen. CreatorFlow does not see your password.

Instagram DM automation questions from nonprofits

Short answers about donations, volunteers and your account.

More for nonprofitsHow CreatorFlow worksCollecting emails by DMFor small businessesPlans and prices

Is there a discount for nonprofits?

No. Nonprofits use the same plans as everyone else. Free costs $0 and includes 500 DMs a month.

Can people donate inside the DM?

No. The DM holds your message and link buttons. People give on your own donate page.

Can we collect supporter emails?

Yes, with Email Gate, on Pro and Growth. The DM asks for an email, then sends your link. You can export the list as a CSV file.

Should supporters send personal details in a DM?

No. Do not ask for addresses, ID numbers or bank details in a DM. Send people to your own form instead.

Can CreatorFlow show which post brings donations?

No. Link tracking, on Pro and Growth, counts clicks on your link. Your donate tool shows the gifts.

Can Instagram ban our organization's account?

CreatorFlow lowers the risk, but no tool can remove it. It is a Meta-approved Tech Provider on the official Instagram API. It only replies to supporters who contacted you first.
