"Link Broken" or Connection Page Not Loading
If the connection page won't load or shows a broken link error, try these steps in order:
Clear browser cache and cookies
Old cached data can interfere with the OAuth flow.
Try a different browser
Switch between Chrome, Firefox, and Safari to rule out browser-specific issues.
Use a desktop browser
Mobile browsers handle OAuth redirects less reliably.
Disable VPN or ad blockers
These can block the redirect URLs required for Instagram authorization.
Try incognito/private mode
Opens a clean browser session without extensions or cached data.
"Already Attached to Another Workspace"
Your Instagram is linked to a different CreatorFlow workspace.
Email hello@creatorflow.so with your Instagram username and the team will move it to the right workspace on the backend — no data loss.
Do not use the Disconnect button to fix this. It permanently deletes all automations, contacts, and history in that workspace.
Disconnecting permanently deletes ALL automations, contacts, and conversation history in that workspace — there is no recovery. Email hello@creatorflow.so instead and the team moves the account for you.
Mobile OAuth Redirect Fails
After clicking "Allow" on Instagram's permissions screen, you see "The profile you're looking for doesn't exist" or a blank page.
Fix: Use a desktop browser to connect. You only need to do this once. After connecting, you can use CreatorFlow on any device.
"Account Not Found"
If CreatorFlow can't find your Instagram account, check the following:
Check spelling
Enter your username without the @ symbol.
Verify account type
You need a Business or Creator account (not Personal).
Switch account type
Go to Instagram > Settings > Account type and tools > Switch to professional account.
Facebook Page Missing
Your Instagram must be a Business or Creator account. If it is still Personal, switch it first:
Create a Facebook Page
Go to facebook.com > Menu > Pages > Create New Page. Fill in details and create.
Link Instagram to the Page
Go to your new Page > Settings > Linked Accounts > Instagram > Connect.
Wait for propagation
Wait up to 24 hours for the link to propagate through Meta's systems.
Try connecting again
Return to CreatorFlow and attempt the Instagram connection.
Make sure the 'access profile and content' toggle is ON on the Instagram permissions screen. Without it the connection cannot complete.
"Access Denied — Not a Member of This Workspace"
This can happen after disconnecting and reconnecting Instagram.
Sign out completely
Sign out of CreatorFlow.
Sign back in
Sign back in with Google.
Check the workspace switcher
Make sure you're in the correct workspace.
If the issue persists, contact hello@creatorflow.so with your account email and workspace name.
Connection Worked Before but Stopped
Your connection likely expired. This happens after a password change, security check from Instagram, or revoked permissions.
Fix: Email hello@creatorflow.so with your Instagram username. The team restores the connection on the backend without touching your automations, contacts, or history.
Do not use the Disconnect button — it permanently deletes everything in the workspace.
